All that is left to do is hand stitch the lining opening where I turned the bag right side out. Good pattern with good directions. It's called "Camille's Bag" by Penny Sturges. I love the way it turned out. I added an additional clip inside for my keys 😃
I saw this cute fabric made up in this purse pattern in a local quilt shop. I love the fabric with all the flowers & newspaper print! I bought a kit but I am substituting the contrast fabrics which were plain yellow & green with some others.
The sections are all fused with batting & ready for quilting before assembly.
Now that I have caught up & published all my yoyo patterns I'm working on a new group of patterns with a different them. Several in the works. Some I am still piecing, some I am quilting, some are still in my head. I love the creative process :)
I recently saw this shirt on Cafepress & wanted to share as I think it is so cute. There I am - the mad quilter with my rotary cutter.
This quilt top reminds me of a game of checkers with all the little squares in the borders. It is a fun quilt with pieced checked borders & yoyos in the center. The wall hanging size quilt measures 36 x 36. It is made up of peachy pink, blue & white florals.
I know. I've got Yoyo Madness! This is a fun quilt with yoyos made into a big heart. It has several borders & appliques of a big bow & two ruffled hearts. The quilt measures 31 x 36. Now available in my Etsy stop!
I've been a busy sewer lately. I had so many UFOs as future patterns. I just seem to jump from one project to the next without finishing the previous one. The amount of directions became a daunting thought so I kept procrastinating .
Then I decided if I finished one a month as a goal that would force me to finish. I chipped away & did about 1/2 dozen or so & with the yoyo theme & published them. I still have 3 left to finish directions for but at least the patterns are partially written so ... soon.
During that time I ventured off into a 2nd theme & had those about half finished piecing & appliqueing . I took them on a month's vacation with me to finish up the sewing in April/May at Lake Shasta. I made all the backings for those in assembly line style today. So for this next batch I have to quilt & write directions so those will start coming out later this year. Whew !
The first pic is my second theme quilts. Some I've finished quilting. The rest have yet to be quilted that I just did the backing for with beginning directions.
The second pic is yoyo themed quilts that I have to finish directions for.
The third pic is yoyo themed quilts that are all finished & patterns out.
