Shirley & I went thrifting & antiquing today but first I had to see her latest finds & take a few pics around her house. I am apoligizing again for not taking my camera but resorting to my cell phone pics.
Here is a cute handmade placemat. Love the colors.
Some of hers & her mother's antique dollies

Some of her Steiff animals
Isn't this the yummiest fabric? She found this chair at Salvation Army!

We decided to check out some new shops (new to us anyway). I had heard of the names of two shops that I wanted to see.
One was called The Purple Avacado in Carson City, NV. This is a really cute gift shop. Shirley knew the owners & I found out we all had mutual friends from California.
Here are the nice owners Stan & Sue Jones.
Lots of bling
Sweet angels
Cool wind chimes
Wild coffee mugs & much, much more...

The other shop was called Due Sorella which stands for Two Sisters. This is a home, garden & design studio. The gal that was working there today was a quilter so that was cool. She showed us some old quilts & quilt tops they had. Also, there were darling things all around the shop including some antiques.
The building is in downtown Carson City on a street filled with beautiful old homes.
There were planter boxes all around the house, just packed with flowers.

I thought this was vintage fabric but they had a whole bolt of it
